The Swedish Consumer Purchase Act - This text is taken from www.konsumentverket.se
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL - 14 DAYS WITHIN SWEDEN
When you as a consumer shop in a store, you do not have a legal right to cancel your purchase. However, if you buy something by mail order, by telephone, online or through door-to-door sales, you have a 14-day right of cancellation within Sweden.
The Distance Contracts Act, which came into force in 2000, has strengthened consumer protection in so-called distance contracts and door-to-door sales contracts. The law includes requirements that traders must provide information about the consumer's right of withdrawal.
DISTANCE AGREEMENT
If you buy a product by mail order or by telephone or the Internet, you have a right of withdrawal under the Distance Contracts Act, which gives you the opportunity to cancel the purchase within 14 days. After you have returned the product, the trader must refund what you have paid as soon as possible and no later than within 30 days.
The withdrawal period begins on the day you receive the goods, and in the case of a service, on the day the agreement for the service was concluded.
However, the withdrawal period does not begin until you have received the information that the seller is legally required to provide you. Among other things, you have the right to receive information about your right of withdrawal.
You must pay the return shipping costs yourself when you return the goods. The trader must always pay the return shipping for so-called replacement goods.
If the trader does not collect the material or goods or fulfill their full payment obligation within three months from the date on which the withdrawal period begins to run, you may keep the goods or materials without paying anything.
DELIVERY OBLIGATION
The trader must deliver the goods or, if it is a service, complete the assignment within 30 days from the date you placed your order. However, it is possible to agree on another reasonable time limit for delivery.
If the trader does not deliver on time and this is not due to you, you have the right to cancel the contract. If the product you purchased is faulty or if the service was not performed professionally, you have the right to complain under the Consumer Sales Act or the Consumer Services Act.
If you cancel the contract, the trader is obliged to return what you have paid. This must be done as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days from the day the trader received your notice of cancellation.
